Rule of Law Conference

The Intercollegiate Studies Institute in co-sponsorship with John Jay College of Criminal Justice and The Manhattan Institute, is hosting an educational conference on “The Rule of Law in Free Society: The Prospects for Law Enforcement.” This conference will address concerns about the way media attention and public scrutiny, as well as policies and procedures, have a direct bearing upon the application of arrest powers and the use of force by police officers.

The conference will take place Thursday, December 3, 2009 from 12:00pm - 5:15 pm at John Jay College, Haaren Hall, 6th Floor, Room 630-T, 899 10th Avenue (Between 58th & 59th Streets) New York City, NY.
